RheaSTUDIOS at IMGDC 2007
As many of you know, Malv was asked to speak at IMGDC, a conference
"geared towards
the ever-growing world of Massive Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) and Indie developers." Here's Malv's blurb aout the event:
"I am thrilled that IMGDC offered a unique opportunity to participate in the first indie conference for MMOGs, to the best of my knowledge, ever. My
hat goes off to Jon for all the work that he and his company did in putting the conference together, to all the speakers who spoke brilliantly about
their topics, and to all the future MMOG stars and future of the entire multi-billion dollar industry.
The conference was a great opportunity to meet with so many of you, to put voices and faces with online identities, to extract all of the free advice
and examples, and to learn about many of the exciting "off the record" projects that everyone is working hard on. I look forward to next year's
conference and to speaking again with all the talented individuals to see what's happened in their own projects and what you all have planned for the
future to come." -Eric "Malevolent" Rhea
The event was a
huge success. RheaSTUDIOS as a whole would like to send special thanks to Jonathon "Dishmal" Stevens for creating
and organizing the
even. Thanks also to Last Straw Productions , as well as 3spadeFX Productions , Dream Games , Multiverse, Brown College, and GarageGames for their
sponsorship and for helping to make the conference a reality for many of the indie game developers in
attendance.
